Yorkipoo Information

The "Breeders" claim that you are getting the best of both breeds, but in reality, no one really knows what you will get. This is a mixed breed, plain and simple. You could get a dog that looks exactly like a Poodle or a Yorkie, or one that doesn't resemble either of the two breeds very well. The Poodle does not shed, and the Yorkshire sheds a little- so it's a gamble if you are looking for a dog that has no shedding.

Yorkshire Terriers can be a tad difficult to housebreak. They are small dogs, but can make some very large messes. Poodles are a bit easier to train, but some tend to be a little wary of strangers. When mixing breeds, you really don't know what you're going to get.

It's your choice, you could either go to a Yorkie or Poodle rescue group or humane shelter and get a Yorkipoo for a small adoption fee (and the dog will be vaccinated, temperament tested, and spayed/neutered), or you can pay $1000 or more to get one from a breeder.....

You should also keep in mind that both the Yorkie and Poodle can have horrible temperaments if they are from bad breeding- Those who breed correctly would never breed a dog with a bad temperament. You should be very aware of this especially if you plan on having this dog around children.
