Kerry Blue Terrier Rescue Groups
The Kerry Blue Terrier was developed in the 1700's by Irish shepherds. Their names comes from the country of Kerry, in south western Ireland.
Kerry Blue Terriers were created by selectively crossing the Irish Terrier and Dandie Dinmont Terrier. They were originally used as a companion, farm dog, guard dog and hunting dog. They performed well on small game and birds, and did well retrieving from both land and water. Some were even used for herding sheep and cattle as well as police work. Read More >>
