What Breeds Are Milled The Most?

Any breed or mix of breeds can and are seen in puppymills. There are some breeds that are seen more than others though.

In the "typical" puppymill setting, they usually have small dogs since they can be put in smaller cages and stacked to the ceiling. The breeds that tend to be the most common are:

Dachshund

Chihuahua

Poodle

Shih Tzu

Lhasa Apso

Miniature Schnauzer

Yorkshire Terrier

Beagle

Cocker Spaniel

The Amish Puppymills tend to have more of the larger breeds, the most common being:

Labrador Retriever

Golden Retriever

German Shepherd

Boxer

Doberman Pinscher

Rottweiler

As stated before, ANY breed can be in a puppymill. The breeds listed above only reflect the breeds personally seen at pet shops (from puppymills) and seen on news reports.
