Yugoslavian Tricolored Hound Information
The Yugoslavian Tri colored Hound originated in the Former Yugoslavia in the 1800's. A combination of sight and scent hound stock, as has been used in other Yugoslavian hounds, underlies this dogs's breeding history.
The coloration of this short-haired breed of hound distinguishes it from the Yugoslavian Mountain Hound. Tan markings are prominent here, offset against black; a white area is evident at the front of the dog. This breed is very localized in distribution and is most common in the southern parts of what was formerly Yugoslavia. Even there, it has become rare in recent years.
They should be 18-22 inches tall and weigh 45-55 pounds.
