Sloughi Information
While the Sloughi is very affectionate and loyal to his family, they are reserved towards strangers. They're not aggressive, however they're not like a Labrador Retriever who will welcome nearly anyone.
The Sloughi is very athletic and loves to run. A potential Sloughi owner should realize that exercise is very important to the Sloughi and an owner must be willing to take the dog on long hikes, jogging, and have a large fenced in area where the Sloughi can run on his own.
The Sloughi loves to be comfortable and sleep in a soft bed. If he doesn't have enough bedding where he can be comfortable and still close to his family, he will make your couch his bed, or even take your bed.
They do very well with dog friendly children, those who are taught how to properly interact with dogs. They get along well with other dogs, however may chase cats unless they are raised with them.
The Sloughi should stand at 24 to 29 inches, females are generally smaller than males. Coloring can be sand, light sand, fawn, and brindle.
