Polish Hound Information
The Polish Hound originated in Poland in the 1700's. The breed's origins are unknown, but it is probably related to Austrian and German breeds. The Polish Hound declined in numbers during World War II, but it has since recovered.
This large, heavy hound has a well-wrinkled face, a rectangular head, and powerful jaws. It is a dedicated tracker with a great nose and fine voice.
They should stand 22-26 inches tall and weigh 55-71 pounds. Another name for the Polish Hound is the Ogar Polski.
