Lapinporokoira Information
The Lapinporokoira originated in Finland in the 1600's. Having been kept primarily as a working breed for many years, in the 1960's a standard was at last created for the Lapinporokoira by the Finnish Kennel Club.
The Lapinporokoira has a loosely curled tail, which may be held against the thigh rather than over the back. Its body is longer than the Finnish Lapphund.
The Lapinporokoira should be 19-22 inches tall and weigh between 60-66 pounds. Another name for the Lapinporokoira is the Lapland Reindeer Dog.
