Lancashire Heeler Information
The Lancashire Heeler originated in Great Britain in the 1960's. This breed derives from Welsh Corgis crossed with Manchester Terriers, which imparted their coloration and vermin-catching skills.
Although short in leg, the Lancashire Heeler is a strong, well-proportioned working dog with a firm, level back and an engaging personality.
They should be 10-12 inches tall and weigh 6-13 pounds. Another name for the Lancashire Heeler is the ormskirk Terrier.
