Istrian Sheepdog Information
The Istrian Sheepdog originated in the Former Yugoslavia in the 1600's. The iron-gray coloration of this dog is offset by darker shadings which makes him a very striking dog. The coat itself is dense and harsh, offering good protection against the elements.
They should be between 20-24 inches tall and weigh 58-88 pounds. Another name for the Istrian Sheepdog is the Karst Sheepdog or the Krasky Ovcar.
