Dutch Shepherd
The Dutch Shepherd is an old herding breed from Holland. They are considered to be a very versatile dog who can excel at police work, search and rescue, schutzhund, agility, flyball, sheepdog trials and competitive obedience.

There are three varieties of Dutch Shepherds. The varieties are shorthaired which has a short, dense coat, longhaired which has a long and straight coat, and rough haired which has a medium length coat that is think and wiry.

Dutch Shepherds are very affectionate, alert and reliable dogs. They are not usually suitable for pets due to their high energy and need for work. If they are not vigorously exercised and trained several times a day they may become destructive.
