My main goals as a breeder are to breed as close to the standard as possible and to keep my wonderful temperaments. Breeding to the standard for me also includes health. Testing is done regularly. All my puppies go to new homes with complete instructions on care. My puppies are sold with strict spay/neuter contracts and limited/restricted papers. I breed for myself first; occasionally I have puppies for sale.

Vizcaya is a small kennel at my home, located in Winder Georgia dedicated to showing and breeding conformation excellence, bird instinct, and loving temperaments. Home of the very first Wirehaired Vizsla to go Best in Show in any Kennel Club Registry in the United States! I am Nancy Edmunds. I have shown dogs for 30 years, since 1978. I had been involved in several breeds in the past, trying to decide what I wanted to stay with. Those included Cocker Spaniels, Rottweilers, Manchester Terriers, Whippets, Brussels Griffons, Golden Retrievers, Poodles, Afghan Hounds and Vizslas. I have shown conformation through AKC events, and breeding Vizslas since 1985, and hope to, until I can't any more, finishing 27 Vizslas as of 2008. Memberships with AKC all-breed accredited clubs over the years include Arkansas KC, Augusta Ga KC, Piedmont KC in Charlotte NC, and currently the Oconee River KC. I have served as newsletter editor, trophy chairman and hospitality chairman in the Arkansas KC. I am a current member and acting Program Director of the all-breed Oconee River KC in Watkinsville/Athens Ga. My specialty club memberships include the Tara Afghan Hound Club of Georgia, the Metropolitan Atlanta Whippet Club, and The Vizsla Club of Metro Atlanta, where I served as secretary for the club's first two years. I am currently, and have been a member of the Vizsla parent club, Vizsla Club of America, since 1985. I am also a charter member and current board member of The Wirehaired Vizsla Club of America. I have judged in two all breed matches, and one specialty match. I was born with slightly deformed feet and unfortuantely cannot walk the Hunt Test and Field Trial grounds. Many of my puppies are in hunting homes and have earned several AKC Hunt titles. I appreciate those owners keeping the hunting instinct alive in these dogs and proving their natural ability! Our adult dogs live in our house so we can provide each other with much needed love and protection. Our puppies are raised indoors with trips outside when the weather permits. Training is only the beginning; We continue to develop our work with socialization skills, to develop a dog that is the perfect family addition. We have began more intense training with retrieving and nose work, to continue rearing awesome NARC dogs and hunting companions. We work individually with each puppy, to make crate and house training easier. We also help develop the skills the puppy will need to fit nicely into your home. Our promise is whats stands; we strive to choose the best matings, that will insure soundness, temperament, intelligence and conformation, by genetic testing and pedigree research. We also stand by our breedings with gaurantees and 24/7 support. If there is a problem, we are here to help, always! Lastly, we will accept a dog/pup back, at any time for any reason. We know that bad things can happen and we will try our best to ease any placement issues that may arise with your puppy. We promise to do our best, because we LOVE what we do! We have some really exciting things planned for Cedar-Rose in 2005. We have new breeding stock, with amazing pedigrees and conformation. We have several new dogs/pups with law enforcement jobs, that we a very proud of and are producing amazing companion animals, that would make anyone proud. We have also ventured into the exciting world of Show competition. So many exciting things, so little time!

We have been dedicated to AKC pure breed dogs since 1974. We have bred, handled, and finished numerous AKC champion. We take great pride in breeding quality Shihtzu for pet/companion or show. Our philosophy is breeding Toy Fox Terriers that excel in type, temperament and structure. We health test and we line breed to maintain type and consistency. We don't sell our puppies to pet stores, wholesalers, resellers or those that mass produce puppies. Our goal is to place our puppies in "forever homes" where they will be cherished members of the family for their entire life.
