The Anglo Francais De Petite Venerie is the smallest of the three Anglo-Francais breeds. Generally, this scent hound's coat is colored tan and white, black and white, or a combination of white black and tan. Although they are compact dogs, they are very athletic and have a very well muscled body. Their head is slightly smaller in relation to its body size. They have low set ears and a well developed nose.

This is a "hound in the making" so its line is not yet fixed. The dominant influences so far are the French hounds and the Beagle. A preliminary standard was first drawn up for the Anglo Francais De Petite Venerie in 1978.

Of the three Anglo-Francais breeds, the Anglo Francais De Petite Venerie makes the best house dog of all. They are also referred to as the Small French-English Hound.

The Anglo Francais De Petite Venerie should be between 35 to 44 pounds and be 16 to 18 inches tall. Their colors can be black and white, orange and white or tricolor.

There are no known health issues with the Anglo Francais De Petite Venerie.
